Language

The Vikings had there own language called Norse/old Norse. Their  language influenced a lot of other countries languages as for example: Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Icelandic. Norse had the biggest influence on the languages listed before but it even influenced German (Swiss German).

 

Alphabet

 The Vikings also had there own alphabet . They had 24 characters in their alphabet. They were using this language to speak secretly during attacks. The Vikings where allowed to go in the courts of the north of France. The French King wanted Vikings as life guards and then, a few generations later the French Norse was invented.
